If you are an international student, the Australia Awards Scholarship (AAS) may financially help to support your study or research at RMIT.

Irana Turynska Scholarship
For students who identify as a woman in their third year of the Bachelor of Architectural Design or first year of the Master of Architecture; worth up to $10,000.
Applications for 2023 are now closed. This scholarship will next be offered for Semester 1, 2024, with applications opening August 2023.

The Irana Turynska Scholarship provides up to $10,000 per annum. Bachelor of Architectural Design students can receive it for up to two years. Master of Architecture students can receive it for up to one year.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
identify as a woman
have resided in Australia for less than ten years
be enrolling full-time in semester 1 and 2 in 2023, in your third year of the Bachelor of Architectural Design (BP250), or your first year of the Master of Architecture (MC163) (by coursework)
have a Grade Point Average (GPA) to date of 2.5 or greater in the Bachelor of Architectural Design at the end of semester 2, 2022

Eligibility
In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:
be a citizen of Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Kenya, or Vietnam
be applying offshore from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Kenya, or Vietnam (RMIT Vietnam students who have completed cross-campus studies are not eligible)
be an international student holding a valid student visa or plan to apply for a student visa prior to the program commencement
achieve Australian equivalent grade GPA of 2.5 or 70% average or ATAR 75 in your qualifying qualification
have existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and be commencing student in July or October (if applicable) 2023 intake in any Vocational Education, Associate Degree*, Bachelor’s degree*, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters by Coursework program
not be an existing RMIT University student (existing ELICOS or Foundation Studies may be eligible)

This scholarship cannot be deferred to another year/intake and must be used for the intake you have been offered it for.
Scholarship selection is based on academic merit.

Value and duration
10% tuition fee reduction for the program duration outlined on your offer letter.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:
be alumni who completed a RMIT degree from the Vietnam campuses. This can include:
an undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree (including those who undertake exchange for up to 1 year in RMIT Melbourne campuses)
packaged RMIT Vietnam Undergraduate and RMIT Melbourne Postgraduate offer holders
have an offer letter and enrol in one of Masters by Coursework program at RMIT Australia
Terms and conditions
This scholarship does not apply to:
students who have only completed a pathway program (e.g. Unistart, Grad Certificate)
Vietnamese graduates who completed their full degree in Melbourne
dual campus or transfer students
Applicants should not be in receipt of any other scholarship covering tuition fees.
You must maintain a satisfactory academic progress in order to continue receiving the scholarship entitlement.
Students who are already granted the RMIT Vietnam Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship are allowed to change program in future semester, the scholarship will apply to the new program.

If you are an international student from Vietnam applying for a PhD at RMIT University, you may be eligible for this top-up scholarship.
This top-up scholarship program is available to talented Vietnamese students aims to address Vietnam’s future industry and workforce needs, prioritising key research areas such as digital technologies, physics, biotechnologies and energy & environment.
Value and duration
This Vietnam government scholarship (Project 89) covers for a maximum of 3 years and 6 months.
The Vietnam government provides a scholarship to fund:
a tuition fee scholarship of up to $25,000 USD (2022 rate)
a stipend scholarship of $1,120 USD per month (2022 rate)
an international return airfare and travel allowances
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the time spent in Australia (up to $1,000 USD per year).
RMIT provides:
top up funding to support the full tuition fee (supplement the Project 89 funding), being the difference between the scholarship jointly-funded between the Vietnamese Government (Project 89) and RMIT
a supplementary (top up) living allowance up to the RTP Stipend rate to support students whilst in Australia

If you are a citizen of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or Thailand this bursary provides a tuition fee discount on your ELICOS program.
Value and duration
For 2023 commencement: 10% of the total program fee for an ELICOS program (you pay $441 per week after the discount)
For 2024 commencement: 10% of the total program fee for an ELICOS program (you pay $488.80 per week after the discount)
Eligibility
In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:
be a citizen of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or Thailand
applying from Australia or overseas
enrol in an English for Academic Purposes program at RMIT English Worldwide commencing either in 2022, 2023 or 2024
not be the recipient of any other English Language scholarship (including external scholarships)
be a commencing RMIT English Worldwide student (including extending your program in Australia).

Medibank is the preferred OSHC provider for RMIT international students. This scholarship is available to international students which can contribute towards your tuition fees.
