The general entry requirements for international students:

Study background:
- Primary teaching proficiency
  Your initial degree should contain a major or equivalent in one of the available teaching proficiency areas.
- Secondary teaching specialisation
  Completion of the secondary teaching stream requires two teaching specialisations. The first teaching specialisation requires a major or equivalent in one of the available teaching specialisations. The second teaching specialisation requires at least a minor or equivalent, including at least two units at second year (Intermediate) level or above. Some specialisations, such as Science, will required a major or equivalent.

English: In addition to the entry requirements listed above, international students who are nationals of a country where English is NOT the official language, evidence of an IELTS or TOEFL test must be provided. The Master of Teaching requires an (IELTS) average of 7.5 with no band lower than 7.0 and Listening and Speaking at 8.0.
