The general entry requirements for international students:

  • Academic requirements: Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, master's degree, or equivalent international qualification.

  • International entry pathway: Applicants who have completed the CDU International Masters Qualifying Program (ZMQP01), the Accelerated International Masters Qualifying Program (ZAMQP1) or the ZMPP01 International Masters Preparation Program are eligible for entry.

  • English: All Higher Education applicants must satisfy the University's English Language Proficiency Requirements for their chosen course of study. International applicants will be required to supply evidence of this at the time of application.

    • Successful completion of EAP004 English for Academic Purposes 4.

    • IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no band below 6.0).

    • TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 79 (with minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing).

    • Pearson Test of English (Academic): minimum score of 58 (with no score lower than 50).

    • Common European Framework Certificate of English Proficiency: minimum overall grade of C1, valid for 3 years from the date of the test to the date of commencement at CDU.

    • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component.

About the course:

Master of Project Management, which consists of a combination of carefully selected core units, a placement, and elective units, will focus mainly on the knowledge of project management concepts and critical skills to deal with the challenges of identifying, prioritizing, and implementing complicated projects successfully.

The course’s curriculum stresses the importance of theoretical knowledge and the application of theory in practice through, for instance, learning to manage projects and undertaking practical exercises.

In the second year of study, the students will be required to complete the placement unit that prepares them for professional practice. Completion of the Professional Experience unit requires an equivalent number of hours (300 hours) of professional practice-related activity, which may include virtual or online activity.

Professional recognition: The Master of Project Management is designed to meet the accreditation requirements of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and Project Management Institute (PMI).
