2023 - 2024 SCHOLARSHIPS

Vice-Chancellor's International High Achievers Scholarships

CDU offers a limited number of scholarships for international students who have a record of academic excellence and high achievement.  The scholarship is neither transferable for cash nor refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, semester, course or year.

  • The scholarship applies to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree covering 50% of the tuition fee for the full duration of the course.

    Applications close for S2 2023 - 9 June 2023 (11:59 PM ACST)

    • Applicant must apply to commence study in S2 2023

    • Applicant must meet the University's academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course

    • Applicant must have a minimum overall score of 95% in their highest completed qualification

    • Applicant must be an international student paying international student fees

    • Applicant must not hold another scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsoring agency

    Selection Criteria

    • Overall score in their highest completed qualification

    • Supporting statements (up to 600 words) outlining why you should be awarded a scholarship

    Duration

    The duration of the Scholarship is the minimum time in which the course can be completed or when one of the following is true:

    • The maximum Scholarship value has been exhausted

    • You have completed your course

    • You no longer meet the ongoing eligibility of the scholarship

    Ongoing Eligibility

    In order to retain the scholarship, the recipient must meet all the following:

    • Continue to be an international student liable for international student fees

    • Pay their portion of the tuition fees on or before the payment due date (first day of teaching) of each semester

    • Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester with a minimum GPA of 5.3 and with no fail grade in any unit

    • Maintain a full-time enrolment of 40 credit points (0.5 EFTSL) each semester or have the approval to reduce their study load or take a leave of absence for the semester

CDU Global Merit Scholarship 2023 - 2024

This is a scholarship of the value of 30% of your tuition fees for the duration of your study. It is available to all new students commencing studies for the first time in an eligible course at CDU. The 30% scholarship will be included in your Letter of Offer. (This scholarship is not available to current CDU students.)

Status: opening now, closing date is up to the offer to study to be accepted the day before teaching commences for each intake (Semester 2, 2023: 10th July 2023 | Semester 1, 2024: 4th March 2024 | Semester 2, 2024: 8th July 2024)

2023 CDU International College Pathway Scholarship

CDU International College offers a number of scholarships for international students who wish to study a pathway course in order to achieve their goal of studying at a world-class university. The scholarship is neither transferable for cash nor refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, semester, course or year.

*Scholarships are based on academic merit, and only for select qualifications. The scholarships will be awarded until the quota has been filled.

  • The scholarship applies to the CDU International College course and covers up to 20% of the tuition fee for this course only.

    • International Foundation Studies Program (ZFSP02)

    • Diploma of Business Studies (YIBST1)

    • Diploma of Information Technology (YINTI1)

    • Accelerated International Masters Qualifying Program (ZAMQP2)

    • Applicant must apply to commence study in 2023 for a pathway course with CDU International College

    • Applicants must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course

    • Applicant must be classified as an international student fee-paying

    • Applicant must not hold another scholarship from an Australian or other government sponsorship agency.

    • This award is exclusively for new international students

    • Applicant must apply to commence study in 2023 for one of the programmes offered by CDU International College

    • Applicants must meet the academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course

    • Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate to be considered for this scholarship

    • The scholarship is awarded for the first year of study only and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment. The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit, and no cash alternative is available

    • If students wish to defer their entry to the CDU International College programmes to 2024, the scholarship will not be automatically transferred. However, the student will be automatically assessed with the new scholarship scheme for 2024 when it's available

    • Students must be self-funded.

2023 ELICOS Scholarship

The scholarship applies to the ELICOS course and covers up to 20% of the tuition fee.

    • Applicant must apply to commence study in 2023 for an ELICOS course

    • Applicants must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course

    • Applicant must be classified as an international fee-paying student

    • Applicant must not hold another Australian or other government sponsorship agency scholarship.

    • This award is exclusively for new international students

    • Applicant must apply to commence study ELICOS in 2023

    • Applicants must meet the academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course

    • Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate to be considered for this scholarship

    • The scholarship is only awarded to the ELICOS program for the duration studied in ELICOS and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment. The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit, and no cash alternative is available

    • If students wish to defer their entry to the CDU International College programmes to 2024, the scholarship will not be automatically transferred. However, the student will be automatically assessed with the new scholarship scheme for 2024 when it's available

    • Students must be self-funded

Menzies International Academic Support Package

Menzies School of Health Research (Menzies) is offering free textbooks* to international students commencing in any of the following programs in 2023:

  • Graduate Certificate of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control

  • Graduate Diploma of Public Health

  • Graduate Diploma of Health Research

  • Master of Public Health

  • Master of Health Research

  • Two-Year Package: Graduate Diploma of Public Health (or Health Research) + Master of Public Health 

  • Two-Year Package: Graduate Certificate of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control + Master of Public Health/or Master of Health Research

  • Two-Year Double Degree: Master of Public Health/Master of Health Research 

Menzies will cover the cost of all required textbooks* for the duration of your enrollment. That is a potential saving of up to AUD$ 900 per academic year!

*Please note - only required textbooks are covered by this offer. Recommended textbooks can be purchased at the discretion of the student.

Dili International School Scholarship

The scholarships will enable 5 students to receive funding for the duration of a 3-year Bachelor degree. Students will be expected to pay the equivalent of $AUD12,900 per annum for the duration of their Bachelors program. CDU will cover the remaining tuition and accommodation expenses at CDU on-campus student accommodation.

    • Applicants must commence any CDU Darwin undergraduate program from Semester 1 2024 or Semester 1 2025 for on-campus study

    • Applicants must commence in full-time study mode

    • Applicants must meet the University’s academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course

    • Applicant must be an international student paying international student fees

    • Applicants must be an international student that has completed their DIS Y12 qualification and ATAR

    • Completion of DIS high school Y12 equivalent qualification and ATAR score that meets program entry requirements

    • Supporting statement (up to 600 words) outlining why DIS student should be awarded a scholarship

  • In order to retain the scholarship, the recipient must meet all the following:

    • Continue to be an international student liable for international student fees

    • Pay their portion of the tuition fees on or before the payment due date (first day of teaching) of each semester
